Jargon and Terminology ---CE Marking: Legally, all garage doors sold in the UK must have a CE mark or a UKCA mark and a certificate of conformity supplied with the door. However, as a result of Brexit we are no longer in the European Union, so as from 1st January 2023 all garage doors in the UK must be supplied with a UKCA mark. ---UKCA Marking: This is different to the CE mark, which can be ‘Frankensteined’ together using suppliers’ CE marks for product – you can usually tell this from suppliers who have terms like ‘CE marked’, ‘conforms to the appropriate CE standard’ or ‘Complies with all current legislation’.
